The holidays season is here, and for many of us, this means traveling around to see friends and family, or just to enjoy a well-deserved vacation. Now, traveling is exciting, but it can also be harrowing, especially after long hours of flight. Here’s our tips to arrive fresh and rested – and enjoy every minute of your holiday!

  • Layer up

Whether you’re going from a warm weather to cold one or the contrary, changes in temperature are one of the traveler’s worst enemies. To avoid getting a cold from an over-zealous air conditioning, dress up with several layers that you will be able to remove when it gets warmer. Choose natural fabrics like cotton, silk or wool, that better help regulate the body temperature.

  • Be prepared

Having your suitcase lost by the air company is never a pleasant experience, but it shouldn’t ruin the beginning of your stay. Make sure to pack an extra outfit and your beauty essentials in your cabin luggage, as well as underwear – and a bathing suit to be able to enjoy the hotel’s swimming pool when you arrive! Don’t forget to slip a good novel, your headphones and a sleeping mask to enjoy the (now rare) pleasure of going of the grid the time of your flight.

  • Travel light

Big furry coats are great for chilly winters, but not for travelling. Opt for a lighter jacket instead and make sure to equip yourself with one of those light puffer jackets to wear underneath. Rolled up into a tiny bundle, not only will it save space in your suitcase, but you’ll gladly pull it out of your handbag during a long day of visiting around if the temperature proves colder than expected.

Here you go, time to leave! Don’t forget to relax and enjoy the ride. Remember, the journey is part of the adventure too!
