When reflecting on the finer things in life, our thoughts often turn to Aristide Boucicaut, founder of the Lutetia and Le Bon Marché. He always knew how to create the perfect welcome for entrepreneurs, artists and business people. After all, his career was a bit of all three. So for a luxurious hideaway where you can enjoy the finer things, may we recommend Bar Aristide.
Tucked away from our lively Brasserie and Saint Germain, you'll find an ornate marble stair. Follow it to the quiet confines of our newest bar. New, yet with the feel of a private club from another era, complete with fascinating books, luxurious furnishings and blessed seclusion.
Set against Eucalyptus panelling and hardwood floors, custom leather couches promise elegant comfort. Refined, yet relaxed, this is a place for classic drinks and tempting savouries, served into the wee hours.
For those who enjoy excellent tobacco, Bar Aristide is not one exclusive getaway, but three. A pair of bespoke smoking rooms provide the finest cigars in Paris, and two of the best places to enjoy them.
Whether to toast old friends or new colleagues, to begin a partnership or celebrate its anniversary, it would be hard to ask for more convivial surroundings. And as our founder could tell you, the name Aristide is from ancient Greek, and has an apt meaning – the finer things.
